Ali Smith, MSN, FNP-C
Ali Smith, FNP-C, was raised in Gallant, Alabama, and graduated from West End High School. She attended Snead State Community College, where she majored in Biology for two years, before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University.
Ali began her nursing career in the emergency department and outpatient day surgery at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She then joined Northeast Alabama Eye Surgery Center, where she spent ten years working alongside Gadsden Eye Associates physicians as well as other ophthalmologists in the area. While there, Ali worked in the operating room and pre- and post-operative holding areas, gaining extensive experience in ophthalmic care. She received her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama and is excited to bring her advanced training, along with her passion for ophthalmology, to Gadsden Eye Associates. Ali is grateful that God has granted her this opportunity to serve patients in her new role.
In addition to ophthalmic care, Ali brings years of experience and a strong interest in aesthetic medicine and looks forward to offering services such as Botox to her patients. She values building meaningful relationships and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Ali is a proud mother of a wonderful son and is enjoying life as a newlywed. She is an active member of Church of the Highlands in Gadsden. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, an active lifestyle, has a heart for animals—especially her dog, Bella—and spending time with her family and friends.
